Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, an Institute of National Importance and ranked number 2 Medical College in India as per NIRF 2023, has started accepting applications for admission in its 4 Year BSc Nursing programme. The programme is run in PGIMER’s National Institute of Nursing Education which was established in 1964.

Eligibility

Open on All India basis.

Only female candidates are eligible.

10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other examination as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

No. of seats : General 47, SC 14, ST 7, OBC 25, PwBD

The number of seats mentioned for Persons with Disability (PWD) will be adjusted against the category to which candidate belongs.

Selection criteria : The selection for BSc Nursing will be made strictly in order of merit of the candidates in the respective merit lists of entrance test.

Stipend & Service bond : Institute awards stipend to all students during four years. Students are required to execute bond to serve the PGIMER, Chandigarh and other Central Govt. Institutions only for a period of three years if offered a job within six months by any of the above-mentioned institutes after the completion of the training otherwise after six months of the completion of the training, this condition of the bond will be in-operative. The students are required to open a Saving Bank Account with the SBI, Medical Institute Branch.
